Another question: As basic requirement for DokuWiki PHP 4.3 is requested
but what does DokuWiki exactly use of PHP 4.3? What won't work if I use
an earlier version of PHP?
Usually it should work with an older Version. However there are two main
reasons for the 4.3 requirement:
1) There are severe security bugs in PHP <4.3.10 (maybe fixed by your
distribution)
2) DokuWiki is significantly slower with PHP <4.3.10 especially when
searching
