Never mind.. I found in the DirectX documentation that "...Most applications have a single performance object, but it is possible to have more than one performance with different parameters, such as master tempo or volume...". I guess I didn't notice this earlier. Thank you for helping... Abhijit Abhijit Patait <abhijit_patait@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: Can there be two performances in a single application? All documentation/literature I have seen so far (indirectly or directly) mentions that there have to be only one performance. I will try it out (creating two performances). So, if you want to have two segments playing simultaneously with different tempos, you must create two Performances. All the segments are playing on different audiopaths, with one of them playing as primary segment. First of all, I don't even know if it's possible. Is self-controlling segment the way to go in this case? I looked at the documentation on self-controlling segments in MSDN/DirectX, but it provides no information as to how to achieve this.
