Please join us on Wednesday, March 16th at 10 am on WOL 1450 AM for MHCDO's
Radio Show, Be Informed. Kenneth Davis and Monica McNeil Boddie from the
non-profit “Arts in Motion” will be interviewed. You will hear how they
are teaching roller-skating skills to adults and children and engaging
parents in the development of their children’s social and emotional
learning. “Arts in Motion” teaches self-control and interpersonal skills
that are vital for school, work, and life success.
Also, you will hear from Dr. Gabrina Dixon, Director, Advancing Diversity
in Academic Pediatrics and Associate Medical Education Director with the
Children’s National Hospital. Dr. Dixon is an Associate Professor of
Pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health
Sciences. She will discuss how parents can ensure the good health of their
children and what you believe is the immediate threat to a child’s health
and how to eliminate the threat. Dr. Dixon will also discuss the $3.4
million grant to help Children’s National Hospital take health care to
Wards 7 and 8. DON’T MISS IT!
