Here is the press release announcing MBI Urgent Care:
We are proud to officially announce the new MBI Urgent Care clinic, which
is currently open to the public. With this facility, we aim to fulfill the
unmet medical needs of those in Wards 7 and 8 of Washington, D.C.
MBI Urgent Care provides affordable and timely medical treatment to
children and adults, including (but not limited to) treatment for colds,
influenza, cuts, broken bones, sprains, dehydration, ear infections,
respiratory illnesses and more. MBI Urgent Care also provides COVID-19
testing, lab tests and X-rays, in order to diagnose the causes of our
patients’ ailments. Walk-ins and scheduled appointments are both welcome!
“Congratulations on the opening of the new MBI Urgent Care,” said D.C.
Mayor Muriel Bowser. “We know that far too many residents travel across
town to access their health care. With the MBI Urgent Care, residents will
receive expedient medical care close to home. As we prepare to break ground
on a new hospital this week, MBI Urgent Care brings us another step closer
to attacking long-standing disparities in health outcomes, and building a
healthier, more equitable Washington, DC.”
D.C. Councilmember Vincent Gray was also kind enough to share a statement
regarding the opening of MBI Urgent Care, "Congratulations to MBI for
opening the doors of the first urgent care center in Ward 7. MBI's urgent
care center is an integral part of the comprehensive health care system we
are building on the East End of the city that will bring equitable access
to health care services to our neighborhoods."
D.C. Councilmember Trayon White had this to say, "Our goal is to build a
health care system East of the River, and we are excited that MBI has
consistently stepped up to serve district residents. The new Urgent Care
center in Ward 7 is an important step in our continuing fight for health
care equity"
Dr. Grace Okhuereigbe, the lead Administrator at MBI Urgent Care, had this
to say in commemoration, "We are honored to care for your health needs, and
are wholly committed to providing patient-centered and compassionate care."
MBI Urgent Care is breaking monumental new ground by providing this type of
care to the Ward 7 and 8 communities of D.C. Please share the news that we
