  Highlights from Last Week

A big thanks to everyone who came out for our rescheduled Lederer Veggie
giveaway on Friday.  Check out our Facebook Live from the day!!! If anyone is
interested in helping make more Facebook live videos to help capture what we're
doing let us know.  We could use more help promoting in the social media world😉

Edgewood Rooftop Farm

  *   Crops ready
     *   Cool weather - Collards, kale, chard
     *   Warm weather - Tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, summer squash, basil,
cucumbers, basil, string beans, perennial herbs, cut flowers

  *   Weekly produce giveaways every Tuesday 11-12pm
     *   Can self-harvest during open hours (Tuesday/Thursdays 10-1pm)

Lederer Gardens

  *   Crops ready –
     *   Cool weather - collards, kale, chard
     *   Warm weather - Tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, cucumbers, okra, squash,
string beans, perennial herbs, cut flowers

  *   Weekly produce giveaways every Wednesday 11-12pm
     *   Can self-harvest during open hours (Monday/Wednesday 9-1pm)

Monday – Lederer Gardens - 9-1pm (Holiday work day!!!)

  *   Prepping and planting new strawberry bed (anyone helping can take some
strawberry plants home)
  *   Working on second Fall garden bed
  *   Garden maintenance (weeding, watering, thinning, bug squishing, pruning,
fertilizing, etc.)

Tuesday - Edgewood - 10-2pm

  *   Harvesting for the 11-12pm weekly produce giveaway

  *   Garden maintenance (weeding, watering, thinning, bug squishing, pruning,
etc.)

Wednesday - Lederer - 9-1pm

  *   Harvesting for the 11-12pm weekly produce giveaway
  *   Working on a new strawberry patch
  *   Garden maintenance (weeding, watering, thinning, bug squishing, pruning,
fertilizing, etc.)

Thursday – Edgewood – 10-12pm, Lederer 12-2pm

  *   Edgewood – 10-12pm

  *   Lederer – 12-2pm (email if planning on coming to Lederer)

Need Help at Lederer Gardens Open Hours

We could use more help setting up the Wednesday veggie giveaway and prepping
our Fall gardens on Monday and Wednesdays 9-1pm

Ward 5 - 300 Evarts St NE

street parking along Evarts st (South side) and Franklin st NE (North Side)
Find stairs inside park that lead to farm.  Don’t need to go inside Rec center.

What to bring?

Volunteering - Please bring your own water, garden gloves if you have them, sun
protection if needed, and a mask.

Picking up veggies - Please bring bags and a mask
