Cameron, What's Ilok? Robert
An iLok is a particular brand of usb dongle. What's a USB dongle?Well, a bit of computer memory attached to a USB connector, and in that memory is stored the licenses for software. No dongle plugged in, no software license.
It's primarily a device designed to thwart software pirates. Too bad it doesn't work. I've seen just about every effect plug-in that requires an iLok, in cracked form requiring no iLok whatsoever.
