Well, that is very subjective and depends on the kind of material you are working with and how predominant they will be in the mix. I usually boost around 6khz about 5 or 6db to get that sparkle if I want that up front 70's disco string section sound. If you are just doing pads, they probably will be ok flat. That being said, I don't use the dimension strings much since I have gpo 4 which is the bomb as they say.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to eq a string section? All of the
strings are from Dimension pro. I have the first violin section second
violin section violas and cellos and then the double basses.
