Well, in that situation I would add a bit around 5000hz or so. Gord----- Original Message ----- From: "neville" <neville@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I am just singing with them its just voice and strings an intro to a CD I'mworking on. So you think that in this case flat would be the way to go? When I listened to them they didn't sound bad to me but then I thought that theremust be something I could do to give them a little shine.May the peace of God that passes all understanding guard your heart and mindin Christ Jesus God Bless You! email neville@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Website http://www.nevillepeter.com phone number 407-222-4488 -----Original Message-----From: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] OnBehalf Of Gordon Kent Sent: Monday, November 30, 2009 8:35 PM To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ddots-l] Re: strings Well, that is very subjective and depends on the kind of material you are working with and how predominant they will be in the mix. I usually boostaround 6khz about 5 or 6db to get that sparkle if I want that up front 70's disco string section sound. If you are just doing pads, they probably will be ok flat. That being said, I don't use the dimension strings much since Ihave gpo 4 which is the bomb as they say.
