I checked it out but didn't buy one. I actually like roland's older sounds 
more, except for the guitars, (the xv and jv series, for example.) They sound 
fatter and warmer to me. Just my subjective observation.

  Has anyone tried the Fantom "G" series yet?  That has a feature which
  turns the Pad buttons into numeric keys for direct entry access with
  just a push of the "Numeric" button.
