Or, press the monitor mode button on the FW-1884 then, Control Shift and Function key F8 to reset the MIDI sided of the board. LOL! Anyway, have you tried to reset the FW1884 using the (Shift plus control plus the f8( keys on the 1884? Remember, you have to be in the (monitor mode), which is using the third button on the very top right of the board before you invoke the three key cord to reset the board. Let me know, and it's a good idea to cycle the power after the reset. Sean P.S. All's good here for now, and that's saying a lot these days! ;) ----- Original Message ----- From: "neville" <neville@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, February 07, 2010 6:59 PM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: question about midi controllerHey man I was just going to shoot you an email to say hello. Friday it came to my mind that I had not seen you on the list for quite some time and I was wondering if everything was okay with you. For no apparent reason my midi controller stopped triggering my soft synths. My hardware seems to be just the way I have always left it. All my Sonar configurations are exactly the same and everything was working fine. I bought new midi cables today to see if that was the problem, but it wasn't. Now I'm wondering if I may have pushed a button on the FW1884 accidentally that may have caused this problem? What do you think? May the peace of God which passes all understanding gard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. God bless you! You always say, "god blessyou" every time I sneeze. LOL. Hey, I didn't see what your original question was. Please repeat your original question, and I'll see if I can answer you. Later, Sean P.S. god bless you to! ----- Original Message ----- From: "neville" <neville@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, February 07, 2010 5:11 PM Subject: [ddots-l] question about midi controllerOkay I just got some new midi cables and they did not work. Here is my new question, could I have accidentally pushed a button on my FW that would have caused this problem? I went in to the FW control panel and everything seems okay. Does anyone with a FW1884 know if my theory could be true? If so what would that button be? I bet this is something very simple, and I know whenI find out I'll be embarrassed. Okay waiting for ideas from the geniuses on this list.May the peace of God which passes all understanding gard your heart andmind in Christ Jesus. God bless you!
