When I'm in the inspector, f6 seams to refresh normally and also in the
track pain. When I use the Jaws curser the only thing I hear are
graphic numbers. I will look again. When I press the letter I jaws says
close the inspector and then I can use it. The event view is still reading
funny.

jaws would read parameters from within the window, in the case of audiosnap
things like sensitivity , threshold, etc, or in the step record the
duration, step size etc. if that is the case you can find the close button
on the window's right corner.
also check that only the recommended toolbars are enabled.
what happens when you are in the inspector and press f6? also in the track
view?.
