Well, as I explained previously, when you select par of the audio on a track 
and press the delete
key then, you won't be able to hear that part of the track any more.  However, 
it is still
physically pat of the wave file on that track.  So, you can use the "apply 
trimming" command.  This
will separate the parts of the wave file that you have deleted from the part 
that you wish to keep.
You can then use the "bounce to clips" option to compact all of the separate 
clips that you are
keeping into one wave file.
