Hello:
Have you made sure that your pro mix is in Sonar mode? Do you have the accessible documentation for it? It really should work for you. Do you have the Mackie control enabled in Sonar, which is the protocol that the pro mix uses?

well that is nice to know.
now I have a bit of a question to throw out there and I would welcome as much feed back as possible on it if you all would. I have the m audio pro mix and a large computer with duel core and 4 gig of ram and all that big groovy stuff., I am having some difficulty with the m audio pro mix and can if I wish at this point still exchange it for the taskam 12 84 I believe is the unit people seem to like on this list. I am having some latency issues depending on the driver I'm using and when the latency issue goes away with the driver change, I get other issues, like the transport pannel, record play fast and rewind buttons on the m audio don't do anything at all, also I'm having issues with inserting effects and e q's and that sort of thing. also a good few crashes. also I have heard some talk of a unit called the mark of the unicorn. what would all you gurus advise me to do?? should I exchange for the taskam control surface? it does sound like a lot of totally blind people are having good success with it and well its a big chunk of cash and the guy at my music store is being great about the exchanging so I'd truly like to get what is going to work best for me. also I have the cake talk 6 for sonar 6.22, but I will be upgrading to thelatest updates of both sonar and cake talking and I do have the jaws 8 which due to gordons advise I will try with the new updates, so the question is, what should I do about the control surface friends? stay with the m audio pro mix or switch to the taskam 12 84 or should I try this mark of the unicorn? please any and all input is welcome! heres to some lively discussion on the topic!

thanks and have a great day all!

Absolutely! CakeTalking for Sonar 6.2 and JAWS 8 get along
just fine.

George.

Hi,

Does JAWS 8 support the most recent upgrades to SONAR,
CakeTalking, etc.? I haven't upgrade from 7.1 yet because
everything was running smoothly for a long time ... of
course, now it's not so smooth, so I'm thinking: If I am
already kicking up cyberdust anyway, should I upgrade
everything?

Thanks for any feedback!

Stephanie
