Your info is correct. You need to export the wave file at 16 bit, as CD audio
isn't 24 bit and Nero therefore, won't burn the CD for you.

Hello Robert:
Best guess here, but you need to save your final mix file (Master) as a 16
bit and not a 24 bit file. I don't know specifically about Nero, but I know
that SoundForge will only work with 16 bit audio.
Someone please feel free to correct this if I am giving out bad info
