[ddots-l] building a new DAW

Hi all, so my video card in my ADK laptop just died and its going to
cost like $350 to fix it because the video card is mounted to the
motherboard and it has to be replaced. Anyway, i guess now would be a
good time to build a desk top DAW. I was going to go with a i-7
processor, windows 7 64 bit, as much ram as i can get, and alot of
hard drive space haha. But, i need to know what mother board i should
get and maybe a good case, or any other things that i might be
missing. And then i need to price all this haha. Or what about fixing
it? Anyone have any cheeper ideas? Any help would be appreciated.
