[ddots-l] Switching pianos

Hi All,
If I want to keep my performance of a piano recorded on a track with Dimension
Pro but wish to change to True pianos for the better piano sounds,
Am I doing this correctly?
I've been adding True Pianos to my project and then copying the info across
from dimension pro and finally deleting dimension pro. , is that the easiest
way?
Also is there a way of exporting just midi data so you may import it into
another project?
