You couldn't connect those old keyboards via Midi, could you? With so many synthes imitating the Rhodes, and doing it very well, I might add, why would anyone even want one? Gord, you mentioned the tuning issue. I guess owning a horse and buggy could be fun if you didn't need it to be your only source of transportation.

I once played in a band that was to open the show for Jerry Lee Lewis. This was at a swank new country dance hall in San Antonio. After our set, the stage people came out and set up a brand new Fender Rhodes for Jerry to play on. He came on stage, took one look at the Rhodes and walked over and put his boot on the keyboard and shoved it over and walked out. No Jerry Lee that night.

Hi James,

You're absolutely right; however, my neighbor took both pieces (the suitcase model) out of the car and made one trip into the house with them. Either he's very strong, or was very drunk at the time.

Well, keep in mind that the grass always looks greener on the other side.
Remember the broken tines, the hassle of keeping it in tune, the often
intolerable grounding problems, and the general inconsistency from one note
to another? Unless they have drastically improved the mechanics without
compromising the sound, I don't think it is worth it. The newer rhodes's
that used the plastic hammers never had that bite and edge that the ones in
the '70's had.

Jeremiah 29:11 - 14 A .
11 For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me. 14 I will be found by you," says the Lord.
