Hello, go to start, all programs, cakeTalking, and run the check toolbars and settings item, I can’t remember the exact wording but it’s in there somewhere. You probably disabled one of the location or time toolbars that CT relies on to perform that function.

1. This only started happening recently, and it happens on any project I open.

2. To those three explanations, yes, yes, and yes.

3. I've already tried restarting Sonar, and restarting my computer, and even switching JAWS off and on, but nothing's changed.

Greetings Annabelle,

Could you please tell me since when you confront this technical problem: impossibility to edit the times and frames on your projects? So do you mean that if you press F5 quickly anywhere between once and thrice, it works the way it should? So you’d know the bar number (F5 once) and the time stamps (F5 twice), and you can edit the bar number (F5 thrice). However, editing the time and the frames does not work, as an error returns.

Pressing F5 once or twice allows you  to receive some information about the bar numbers, the tick, and the time stamps, while pressing this key three or four times allows you to edit these pieces of data associated with pressing F5 once or twice. In this context, the number 4 represents danger (finishing a tournament in fourth place or lower sends you to hell, meaning no prize, compared to the top three which keeps you safe). That been said, you can press F5 between once and thrice and it works normally?

I would propose you to switch JAWS or whatever the screen reader. If the error returns, switch off your computer then try again upon reloading SONAR or your project.

Thank you. I hope you will resolve the problem.

Adel

What seems to be happening is, I want to go to a specific area in a recording, and from what I understand, you can either go to a "Measure, Beat, and Tick (MBT)", which I'm able to do when I press F5 three times quickly, or you can go to an "Hour Minute, Second, and Frame" (HMSF), by pressing F5 four times quickly, then an edit field is supposed to pop up, where you can type a number like "00:13:42:607".. However, when I press F5 four times quickly, that's when the error occurs, where a message pops up that says, "Failed to find the HMSF Toolbar edit field.".

Annabelle, qu’est-ce qui cloche? In French, that may mean: “What is wrong?” C’est étrange. Comment pourriez-vous résoudre ce problème?

Merci.

I've never heard it put that way before, but yeah I guess you could say that's what's happening.

Hello Annabelle,

Usually, pressing this key, F5 at this frequency (4X), allows SONAR users to guide the cursor to the time stamp in the project. Your problem is that an error occurs when you want to edit the time stamps on Sonar?

Thank you.

Hi, it's Annabelle.

When I press F5 four times quickly, I get an error message that says, "Failed to find HMSF Toolbar Edit Field". However, it doesn't say how to fix the error. This has never happened before. Is there an easy solution to this problem?
