Darren, when installing Sonar 8.5, it should have asked if you wanted to
perform the recommended install, or a custom install. Did you go with
recommended? If so, then those plugs would have been installed in the standard
locations. Also, Sonar scanns for plugs when you start it for the first time,
so it should have found them.

If you don't have a Sonar 8.5 install DVD, then the process is a bit more
frustrating. You have to install 8, then upgrade to 8.5, then upgrade to 8.52,
and, finally, upgrade to 8.53. I've never run that complete journey. I have an
8.5 disk. Maybe some problems along that long path.

Subject: [ddots-l] Odd issue with Sonar 8 installation

Hi folks.

This installation, along with the sound card issue has proven to be more
problematic than it's worth.

I've isntalled All of the Sonar content from Sonar 8 and done all of the
upgrades up to 8.53.

However, there are a lot of plugs missing.

For example, I can see session Drummer 2, but not Session Drummer 3.

The Vocal and Percussion strip are not there, plus a fair few other items.
Should I scan my entire system for the plugs in case they've been misaddressed?

Cheers
Darren
