Hi everbody,
What are the real things that have to be done with mastering?
I know that we do fade out in the end of the song and eQ for the whole song.
What else do we have to do when we make final mastering?

That's the great thing about this. We have all of these great choices.
I do it all in Sonar. I just add a touch of EQ to the main buss. I
then put Final Plug in as the last plug-in on the buss. Final plug is a
mastering plug-in. It has a brickwall limiter built into it. So, I can
if I wish, push the level up on the buss a bit and it will push any
peaks, back down to minus 0.1DB. I personally don't use Sound Forge
because 1, I find accessing external plug-ins from within the Sound
Forge interface, way to clunky. To, I never normalise as part of the
mastering process, as you can actually cut your overall volume level, if
you do this.
