The only thing that will motivate a company to serve the blind, a small
market, is to show that the improvements they make will also benefit the
sighted, their core audience. Threatening legal action only makes people
dig their heals in and sake "Forget You," or worse. Sonar didn't make their
product accessible out of the goodness of their hearts entirely. They
realized that we were a loyal audience and that making their product
accessible would improve their product in general. Things like product
templates and other improvements were undertaken to make life easier for
their entire audience. These happen to make life good for us and that's the
way to approach things. Being entitled is never constructive.
