Welcome, Darren! I think you'll find our list a good place for information exchange and even some good old-fashioned moral support from time to time. We at Dancing Dots do have a growing number of CakeTalking for SONAR in the UK and some of them are subscribed here. I'm Darren Hartland, based in the UK and have just started recording again after a very long break, around 13 years. For the last 10 years I've been a professional DJ, but I'm now thoroughly fed up with the late nights and lugging sound systems around. I work as a technical consultant for SiteSell Inc, a Canadian company that deal with web based applications that assist companies and individuals to start their own Internet based businesses. So, as far as computers go, I know my way around, but I've forgotten a heck of a lot about Midi and I know next to nothing about recording with packages like Sonar and Cubase. I'm currently using Cubase v2.2, but will be moving over to Sonar 7 as soon as possible. I'll leave my initial questions for another e-mail. Thanks for reading and hope to be able to help out when I know what I'm doing. Cheers Darren H www.bigmixentertainment.co.uk
