Hi Phil, When you say "open up a plug-in such as AutoTune" are you talking about opening it with in Sonar? Or are you talking about applying the plug-in to a track? Thanks it sounds interesting. ----- Original Message ----- From: Phil Muir To: Dancing Dots E-mail List Sent: Saturday, May 03, 2008 7:29 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Getting VST Audio Plug-ins That Expose MIDI To Work In Sonar6/7 Hi all!! This definitly works in Sonar 7, and should work in any version of Sonar from 6 and beyond. Just had a flash of inspiration. If you open up a plug-in such as AutoTune then, go to where it says "vst. Then, press enter on that option and go up to "plug-ins properties" you can check a box that makes a .VST show up as a softsynthe. Once this is done, it should be possible to get hold of any MIDI data that the plug-in is sending out. In the case of AutoTune 5, you would have to enable the MIDI output, from within the AutoTune interface. You can do that with the .HSC sets, available from: www.hotspotclicker.org/ Regards, Phil Muir P J Muir Productions, Music And Audio Production Telephone: US (615) 713-2021 UK+44-1747-821-794 Mobile: UK +44-7968-136-246 E-mail: info@xxxxxxxxxxxx URL: www.philmuir.com/
