I am talking about actually going into the plug-ins interface in the affects 
bin on a track and altering how it functions in the plug-ins properties.

talking about applying the plug-in to a track?

    Hi all!!

    This definitly works in Sonar 7, and should work in any version of Sonar 
from 6 and beyond.  Just had a flash of inspiration.  If you open up a plug-in 
such as AutoTune then, go to where it says "vst.  Then, press enter on that 
option and go up to "plug-ins properties" you can check a box that makes a .VST 
show up as a softsynthe.  Once this is done, it should be possible to get hold 
of any MIDI data that the plug-in is sending out.  In the case of AutoTune 5, 
you would have to enable the MIDI output, from within the AutoTune interface.  
You can do that with the .HSC sets, available from:
