I don't remember you mentioning that you'd checked that box, I dunno, I've never had this kinda problem...

Yeah, go figure? If you'll notice that option is to allow effect tails to continue after playback stops and what I'm asking about is getting those effect tails to continue until they're done in the actual mixed down audio. Fairly sure I mentioned that it was checked in the original post anyway. Try it for yourself. Record something, anything, with an effect like delay or reverb, max it so it has a good long tail. Play it back in sonar, wait till it's done, then export the audio. You'll hear that instead of fading out or doing whatever it does when you play it back, it gets cut off abruptly precisely where you stopped recording.
