What is a Lived Experience Consultant?
A lived experience consultant is a person with disability, mental health issues
or who is Deaf who uses their expertise and unique perspective to engage,
educate and empower the arts and cultural sector to become more inclusive and
accessible.
AAV's team of lived experience consultants have helped to inform the thinking
of curators and exhibition designers for Melbourne Museum, change the service
and facilities at Yarra Libraries, open up new ideas for the Leaps and Bounds
music festival and create the first relaxed ‘big top’ show for Circus Oz.
If you think this kind of work sounds interesting, please come along to our
information session to find out more!
