OTOH there is a case for not building (or using) encryption in archive
programs - because a specialist encryption program is likely to be
better than what is a minor feature of another program (as the fate of
encryption in SparkFS and zip shows).
Indeed, as I found when reading a bit on the subject after our last chat
and discovered most Zip encryption is not very secure, however some things
like "7zip" now have AES-256 encryption.
I guess an additional problem for me is, I use files both here on RISC OS
and on the other side in Win 7...
