Hi,
Going too and from zap would take out any styles or effects. There are
options in OP that do the same. You say no visible difference - so it
can be junk -repeatedly changing style and back. Can be more subtle like
using different fonts that look the same.
Interesting that it is OK on PS and not bitmap, might be that one of
those has limited numbers of fonts used per line of text. I recall that
there have been bugs in OP triggered by too many fonts in a line or
similar things (like underlines).
