Sometimes the error messages mean what they say. If you go to choices, DPScan has its own memory management, you can configure the max amount of RAM, and the place where memory overspill is kept on disc.

Images are held in memory in uncompressed form, so a titchy JPEG file might use a humongous amount of memory.

I'd suggest making the memory available really large, and setting up the temporary file to wimp$scrap

wimp slots and all that don't count.
