October is a busy month for Dance Films Association (DFA) with 10 events in 5
countries.
DFA returns to the venues of some of its most loyal touring partners: Virginia
Commonwealth
University, Hedwig Dances, and Ohio State University; steps out in Reno and
Albuquerque
for the first time; and supports international festivals in Canada, Hungary,
Turkey,
and Chile.
Meanwhile, we're in the midst of reviewing 220 entries for the 2010 Dance On
Camera
Festival. We are happy to report that the shorts from Canada, Australia,
Netherlands,
USA, and Spain are particularly inventive. Co-sponsored by the Film Society of
Lincoln
Center, Movement Research, and Dance New Amsterdam and supported by the New York
City Department of Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts and
the
members of DFA, the program for DFA's 38th Dance on Camera Festival will be
announced
in early November.

felt she had to follow. She speaks about rehearsing, her co-productions, and
touring.
Some of her dancers, set designer Peter Pabst and costume designer Marion Cito,
all of whom were with Pina Bausch for decades, share their reflections on
working
with her.
