If you hadn’t been at the Carbon Valley Toastmasters, you should have been
there tonight. There was a lineup of spectacular speakers.
Jonathan Kolber wowed us with his inquisitive vision in his speech. If you
did not get tonight’s preview, too bad, you’ll just have to wait until the
contest this Saturday March 23rd at the Lutheran Medical Center in
Wheatridge. The Contest for our club will be at 8 a.m. at Xilinx Center in
Longmont. Be sure to join the Carbon Valley Toastmasters that will be sitting
in on the action as the competition becomes more intense.
Elliott Vigil is a well equip speaker that comes to us from a sales and
training management position. He gave us a momentous speech on goals like you
have never heard before. If you need a fresh take on motivation, you should
have been there.
Amanda Elkateeb. took home the ribbon tonight for our Table Topics. She
continued to vaunt about her Dyson vacuum and how every day is like spring
cleaning because of it. Way to think on your feet Amanda!
Shidiah also took home a ribbon for Best Evaluator. This is her third
evaluation and already she’s dominating the speech evaluation floor with
grace. Way to go Shidia!
Overall, our group is becoming more dynamic as we are welcoming new guests
and supporting each other to become stronger speakers. The lightening bolt
has STRUCK and we are newly charged. There is much to learn and many ways to
grow here at Carbon Valley Toastmasters. Join us next time Tuesday @ 6:30 pm
as the bar has been raised for all members.
You really should have been there.
Until next time – Brissa Childers, your newsletter editor.
