California Midterm General Election
One of the best tools in our fight for progress is our vote. Elections are
critical for farm workers and our communities. We want to remind you that your
federal, state senate, state assembly, county, and city district elections will
choose the leaders who work for our most vulnerable communities including farm
workers.
Let’s not forget the words of Cesar Chavez, “We don’t need perfect political
systems; we need perfect participation.”
If you are not yet registered to vote, the last day to register to vote online
or by mail in California is TODAY October 24, 2022. You can still
“conditionally” register and vote at your county elections office after the
voter registration deadline. For more information, contact your Local Election
Office or visit the California Secretary of State website if you have any
questions.
Ballots have begun to be mailed, and we want to highlight UFW’s endorsement of
California candidates below. Don’t stop once you’ve voted -- reach out to
everyone in your contact list and make sure they have also voted.
