[cst_board] Schedule!

So - we pretty well have our schedule for the season. There may be an
opportunity to bring in a smaller team if we want for the meets we are
hosting - please provide your opinion.
So, MacKenzie did not want to have the intersquad meet at the end of the
first week like last year. She felt like a lot of the swimmers just weren't
ready. It didn't help that the weather was really bad last year, but some
kids are still trying to decide if they will continue. So, that being said
- an intersquad meet either the 10th, 11th or 12th.
Saturday June 13th Willow Springs at Collindale
Wednesday June 17th Village Green at Collindale
Either of these meets we could ask another team.I was thinking perhaps
Parkwood on the 17th? Do we want to swim against anyone else?
The week of June 22nd is open. This could be our Water World week -
Midnight mile - ice cream party - or some other team event.
Saturday June 27th Collindale at Nelson Farm
Nothing the week of June 30 - July 4th is Saturday.. This could be another
opportunity to do something with the team - but often families are gone at
this time.
Wednesday July 8th - our own Purple and Gold meet
Saturday July 11th - Collindale at Westfield
Friday and Saturday July 17th and 18th - City Meet at Village Green
Friday, Saturday and Sunday - State Meet in Golden
We will swim a total of 8 meets (with City and State) in 8 weeks of the
season - with 2 of those weeks without meets.
So we host 4 meets - unfortunately 3 of those on Wednesdays. However, each
team is asking for help with timing, so I think there can be other
opportunities. It's a very short season.
So, give me your thoughts..Some of the Saturday's were hard for our coaches
because of other commitments - like June 20th. If this still feels too hard
to get volunteers, then let's discuss.
Additionally, if we can get the two women who you've talked to (Rene and
John) about taking on some duties, please see if they could attend our
meeting next week.
