MERAF Reports Available
CEN has received from Environment Canada the Multi-pollutant Emission
Reduction Analysis Foundation (MERAF) Reports for: Base Metals Smelting;
Iron and Steel; Ready-Mix Concrete; Hot-Mix Asphalt; Pulp and Paper, and;
Lumber and Allied Wood Products. These Reports represent Phase 1 of the
Joint Initial Actions under the Canada-wide Standards for Particulate Matter
and Ground-level Ozone and were prepared for Environment Canada and the
Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment through the Industrial
Multi-pollutant Emission Reduction Strategies (MERS). Also available
through CEN is the report, "Identification of U.S. Air Emission Requirements
and Programs for Selected Industry Sectors".
