Geo-Magnetic alignment was used commonly for advanced spy and weapons
control satellites for decades, a good real-world history can be viewed in
the physical procession of control facilities between the original CSC
complex in Chantilly VA 20151 through to the mockery at NRO where the
walking path is the translation skew and rotation of the "invincible"
satellite from the original CSC reference when built. These progressions
are clear in the DC area, Arlington cemetary point is now a mile northeast,
dozens of other control facilities are scattered across the region, and the
new NGiA/NRO control facilities at Ft Belvoir are only for "newer" systems.
