Terrible strategy. You're relying on the opponent to mess up their timing. A
better idea is to press a jumping attack so that it whiffs when the opponent
expects it to hit (proximity guard kicks in). Then you do the command grab
while they're blocking high. Both strategies will obviously lose if you get
anti-aired.

so the opponent is on the ground and you flying up with jump CD.
the opponent sees this and positions himself to punish you when you land from
the jump CD.
you input a 1f command grab as soon as you land.
more often than not your command throw will override anything your opponent
tried.
