What is the kof version of srk or dustloop that I can grab system and character

Fortunately there are plenty of OG KOF players who can help you out with the
basics at sessions :)
In 3D fighters, pokes are not typically used to control space. In 2D fighters,
they are. That's one of the major differences.

I just realized that the games i usually play are usually all poke base. Are 2D
fighter poke base? I know they have some of the poke element in it. But It
doesn't seem to function as the same as 3d fighters like tekken or soul calibur.

No emergent gameplay means there's no variation. I remember when the trailers
were shown and features were detailed I compared it to scouring planets in Mass
Effect with your Mako. To an extent it's fun to explore, but there's really no
variation in what you do.
It wouldn't really be that hard to implement either, but I suppose they
probably didn't have enough time.
Land on a planet
See Aliens building a base
Aliens get attacked by dinosaurs
You help the Aliens, you get rewarded with stuff
OR
You help the dinosaurs and then claim the base as your own, but you get 2 stars
and the cops start chasing you so you have to hide in an alley until your stars
disappear.

Gameplay is amazingly thin, but just parking off checking out the planets is

This depends on how long do you feel you need to be able to play the game to
make it worth it.
I think there is enough variation to get you through 15-20 hours. I made it to
40ish hours before I got over it.
But this also depends on how lucky you are.
You could get boring planet after boring planet by sheer luck... or multiple
similar planets after each other.
Or you could get amazing variation in your starting system alone.
Stu's starting system was amazing
