[cpha] lightweight passenger car paint schemes

I came across this photo in the BC provincial archives dates March 13, 1938 of car 2113: https://search-bcarchives.royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/uploads/r/null/0/d/0d3dbc8c87ca11254172bc94ba6681e44328ac178c3229e9f54a8e3eab26606b/f-06385_141.jpg

It has the "Canadian Pacific" outlined in a border and the corporate shields on each end of the car. How long sis this paint scheme last? Would it be appropriate for a car in 1949?
