The truss rods are visible on 52914, so it’s not likely to be a steel under
frame.

Thanks for digging up these photos of these vintage boxcars.
I was noticing that these cars only have grab irons and stirrup steps on one
end of the car. Presumably on the "B" end to access the handbrake. Also
notice the slotted knuckle which is useful when coupling with link-and-pin
couplers. Interesting.
Do you know the build date on these cars? Just curious.

I'm looking for some photos showing early 20th century CPR boxcars,
specifically 36' or shorter, double sheathed with the semi-circular "CANADIAN
PACIFIC' lettering.
I recall a photo sometime ago that showed Vancouver harbour with a line of CP
boxcars and I think there were a few in that but I can't recall if that photo
was from Vancouver Archives or elsewhere. I would appreciate the link to that
as well if somebody could send that to me.
