I assume, but don't know absolutely, that in this case the drawing room out of
Montreal would be blocked for anything but 'local' use, such as just to North
Bay. The passenger ex-Toronto would change accommodation in Sudbury.
There was a drawing room in each of the CHATEAU cars, so if the passenger
ex-Toronto was late in reserving, he would be offered one of those rooms.

Which leads to one question...
If someone booked a trip in the Drawing Room in the Park Car from Toronto to
a destination beyond Sudbury, how was it handled at Sudbury if the Drawing
Room from Montreal was also booked for travel beyond Sudbury?

It should be understood that Train #1 (The Canadian) carried a Park car
ex-Montreal that would go all the way to Vancouver. Train #11 (also The
Canadian) carried a Park car ex-Toronto as far as Sudbury where it was
switched out, spent the night there and returned southbound to Toronto on
Train #12, the next day.

The CP Apr.24,1955 Time table schedules show the Park car going to
Vancouver.
Also in Fred Shannon listing the first Canadian out of Montreal & Toronto
Other consists show the Park car going to Vancouver in later years. Was
there a change or is this an error in the consists shown in later years?
I do not have other Time Tables to ckeck.
