John, I can't tell you what exciting news this is! When I learned that the
NorWest were to be discontinued, one of my first thoughts (after the
obligatory bemoaning my failure to order any while they were available)
was to hope that somebody bought the intellectual property associated
with the kits. I know Brian Pate did a lot of research to make his kits
accurate and of course your BGR kits are all very thoroughly researched
as well. I think Brian's, Andy's and your work will complement each other
very well.
I am really looking forward to seeing these new kits when they appear in
2010 and will plan to start buying them as soon as I can.
I guess this effort will have an effect on your schedule for releasing more
heavyweight car kits in your existing line. It also probably sets the date
of your planned retirement from model kit making back a few more years.
