Today, once again, I can read the digest on my iPad but this same digest
appears as a blank page on my pc. However, none of the pictures that people
have sent appear on my iPad. Jeff's email which I think has photos only
displays a column of "=20" on the left side of his email. There are 7 of these
listed in a row. No pictures. Net. Nada.

The trucks are double arch bar trucks, which were used in Canada and by

I’m not aware of any manufacturer who offers double arch bar trucks.

Hi Jeff,
As you can see below, there isn't any text here when I open this on my pc
using Windows 10. My email is icloud. However, when I opened this on my ipad
I got all of the messages. I noticed that sometimes I would get a blank
message on my pc but thought that was because it was sent automatically and
there hadn't been any messages posted the previous day. Now I see that isn't
the case. I do not know what to do about this. Sometimes the messages come up
on both devices (I assume because sometimes I get the list of messages on my
pc) but I don't check one against the other every day. (It's just a fluke
that I did so this morning.) Nonetheless, as you can see, I am not getting
these on both devices.
I wonder if other people using icloud for mail but are using a pc are having
the same problem. They might be having the same experience but haven't
checked messages from freelists every day on both of their devices.
Suggestions?

Thanks for all of your responses.
I'm looking for photos of boxcars that are 36ft long or less, double sheathed
and use the curved "Canadian Pacific" lettering like the old CDS lettering
sets - HO-6 CP 36' Wood Reefer and HO-& CP 36' Wood Box.
I am not looking for Fowler/Dominion cars (which were first built around
1912-14 I believe).
Hope this helps to clarify my request.

I had a similar problem to yours, where messages from Rob
Kirkham to the cpha freelists were totally unreadable on my computer. I was
reading all the emails using the daily digest, which is what you seem to be
doing. Switch to individual emails, and I will bet that your problem will go
away, as mine did. I am sending this message directly to your email in case
you are not able to read it on cpha freelists.

Hi Dave,
I'll have to wait until tomorrow before I know if I can get it via freelists.
I chose daily digest because I didn't want to get a stream of emails
throughout the day. I used to monitor the grp by checking it myself because
it was only very occasionally that a discussion was relevant to what I'm
trying to do.
I might have to do as you suggest but will see if any other solution is
forthcoming before doing that.
Thanks for this.

Jeff,
Thanks for digging up these photos of these vintage boxcars.
I was noticing that these cars only have grab irons and stirrup steps on one
end of the car. Presumably on the "B" end to access the handbrake. Also
notice the slotted knuckle which is useful when coupling with link-and-pin
couplers. Interesting.
Do you know the build date on these cars? Just curious.

I’ve just been told that these 2 cars were steel frame cars, not steel
underframe as I stated. #52914 was built 1906. Car number 100002 built in
1908 was an Dominion car done double sheathed as an experiment .

The truss rods are visible on 52914, so it’s not likely to be a steel under
