Lavalee isn't clear, but it appears that the T1a's kept either a blue or
black boiler jacket when they had the tuscan running boards and tender
panels. It seems the treatment of the T1's was different to the H1's and
G3's. Unfortunately genuine colour photos from the era rare.
During the war, some T1a kept the wide running boards, but were painted
black, and not restored to Tuscan after the war.
