Recent discussions have pointed out that the 'Spans the World'
logo graced the sides of a fair number of CPR boxcars. Was this
treatment applied at random or merely to boxcars used in passenger
service? I've not come accross much in the way of clear close-ups
of these cars, although there is an undated shot on page 20 of
"Canadian Railway Scenes No.2". In that photo the airplane is
shown as part of the logo but "Nicholas Morant's Canadian Pacific"
shows diagrams of the logos both with and without the airplane.
Was the airplane present on all the logos applied to boxcars?
