Just to add a bit of color to this discussion, there is a pic of a Pullman

This is one of two 10-1-2 cars Pullman normally asigned to the Winnipeger, but
by the mid fifties Pullman was using a pair of 8 section, 5 bedroom CLOVER
series cars on that train, and apparantly the FORT series cars were working as
pool cars, because this one in at the Southern Pacific Mission Road coach yard
in LA. Later, these two cars were withdrawn from lease and rebuilt as 6 sec. 5
bdrm. cars an again used as company operated cars on the Winnipeger.
