I tried that with one of my Lee Valley fridge magnets. Will try the
nylon stocking thing when I can obtain a used one.

Another trick is to fit a small nylon stocking over a vacuum nozzle

and comb the area that

way-if it picks up the screw you can retrieve it from the nylon

"filter".
