Sad news for those who knew, or know of, Roger
Boisvert: He was a walking encyclopedia of railway information. RIP,
Roger.

deceased at' 82 years age, Mr. Roger Boisvert,
son of Cecile Doyon and Patrick Boisvert,

accomodate parents and friend (E) S at Funerary
center Rousseau, 445 des Volontaires ,
Three-Rivers. Hours d' reception: Sunday of 14:00
to 17:00 and 19:00 at 21:00, Monday, day of the
funeral, starting from 12:00. The funeral will
take place on Monday May 17, 2010 with 15:00 in
the Cathedral of Three-Rivers of the parish
Immaculée-Conception. L' burial will take place
with the Saint-Michel cemetery with a latter
date. The late one leaves in mourning his/her
sisters, brothers, ... who have the memory d' a
man as attaching as invaluable and whose
competences and generosity appeared in
sectors professional, cultural, and religious,
... has been as expert nationally recognized in
the railway field, regularly present at concerts
of classical music, or as a reader appointed of
liturgical ceremonies for more than forty years
in the parishes where he resided, such that of
Saint-Magpie-X , which he was forceed to leave
these last months by the disease which has just taken him.
So for the majority of us -- the English speaking world -- the name
Boisvert is translated to Woodgreen or, more likely, Greenwood, for
pronounciation and recording purposes. Right? Like
Pie IX -- Pie 9, pronounced Pie Nine;
Langelier -- Langelears;
Longeuil -- Longay, e.g:
Point of Trembles
Fountain Tunnel
Jake Carter Bridge
Mercy Bridge, etc...
