Per Dwight Smith's detailed assessment of B&M milk traffic in 1948,
Hood in Newport shipped out an average of 1.7 CAN cars per day. This is
in addition to Hood TANK car shipments from other locations on the
CPR's Lyndonville Sub (Barnet, Barton, Newport, Orleans). The total
tank-car shipments from these four locations combined was 2.5 cars per
day.
