Mike: Looking at a couple of tender shots in Canadian Steam, G3 2380
had it as per your second example with the road number just above
the water and oil info (2380 was an oil burner). D4 434 had "5000
gals" with the road number just above. There is no word "water" and
nothing about coal. G2 2527 on the back of a BRMNA book also has only
" 8000 gals" and the road number just above. I have a couple of
custom painted CP steamers and they are done as per your second
example with the road number near the top of the tender and coal and
water info centered. It seems the road number should be lower ie.
just above the coal and water numbers.
