Can some kind soul please tell me where the eastern end of the joint
CP/CN operation in the Thompson/Fraser Canyons is located? This would
be the point where the two railways cease running on their own tracks
and begin to share the tracks going westward. Westbound CP trains
must move onto the CN tracks at this point I believe, while eastbound
CN trains must move from the CP tracks back onto the CN tracks. If I
am not mistaken this occurs somewhere between the west end of Kamloops
Lake and Savona. But where exactly? And is the spot accessible for
some railfan photography?
